Invicta FC vs. Strikeforce? Headliner Shayna Baszler just wants to rule the world

Shayna Baszler knows her opportunity on Saturday is a big one.

With a win over Sara McMann in the main event of Invicta FC 2, Baszler (14-6) not only would hand McMann (5-0) her first loss, but she’d also likely work her way to an Invicta bantamweight title shot in October.

And then there’s the little matter of raising her profile on the bigger stage of women’s MMA.

“Whether (people) are or they’re not (talking about me now), they’re going to be talking after this one,” Baszler recently told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio). “I had a few fights the past year that fell through, so I’ve kind of been off the map. But it’s not as though I’ve been inactive.

“If anybody wants to forget about that, that’s all the bigger they’ll talk afterward.”

Baszler meets McMann, an Olympic wrestler, at Invicta’s second show, which takes place Saturday at Memorial Hall…
