Silva Camp: Only GSP Makes Sense Right Now

Strong words from Anderson Silva’s manager, calling potential fights with “amateur” challengers Chris Weidman, Tim Boetch, and Alan Belcher “a big joke”. In a recent interview with Tatame magazine, Jorge Guimaraes was asked about who Anderson Silva should fight next. He was not impressed with the current batch of UFC middleweight contenders, implying the only fight worth Anderson’s time was a super-fight with UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre.

“That’s a big joke,” Jorge Guimaraes, said about Weidman, Boetsch, and Belcher’s challenges. “Everybody saw that it worked for Chael, and he got really famous with that, and now everybody wants to be on the spotlight.”
